My Husband and I own a little place in Northeastern Colorado in the Sterling Co area we are less then 20 minutes from I76 . We have horses and often have a calf or two around along with some goats and cats. We have spent most of our adult life working and living on cattle ranches and using cow dogs of all breeds. They have made our work a lot easier. It only takes one good cow dog to do the work of two men. Our dogs have always been a big part of our life. They are always with us in the pick up or horse back or just hanging out on our place. Our dogs don't spend much time in the kennel. Most of our adult dogs live in our house. Our females have their pups in the house.
After that, the mom and babies are moved to the kennel until the pups are weaned. I start introducing the puppies to puppy food at 3 weeks of age. I have my Veterinarian do everything from removing the tail, dew claw, shots and worming. Our puppies spend a large part of the day out of the kennel playing with the older dogs and exploring and learning. I strive to get the puppies exposed to everything I can as I feel that is a very large part of what makes a well rounded puppy.
I hope you keep in mind there are NO GUARANTEES when it comes to the size of your puppy is going to grow up to be and I can't say what their ears are going to do (I wish I could). But I can guarantee dogs will never go behind your back and tell people all of your secrets nor will they hold a grudge when you come home late. These are truly man's best friend.
I am a License Breeder so you can buy with confidence.
